Not all gnome-shell crashes are this one, and in fact there are zero
reports of this one (so far) after 40.5-1ubuntu1 in
https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/11d90a7db51d11df7d99a6ef6e5aa31eb678d273
Please open a new bug for each crash file using the ubuntu-bug command.

Yes the function at the top of the stack is in libX11, but libX11 has
nothing to do with the root cause of the crash which is just gnome-
shell.

Still affects libX11 in Live session (build 20210929), which I am
currently testing.
Same thing:
segfault at 0 ip 7f---77f sp 7ff0 error 4 in
libX11.so.6.4.0[7f---000+8c000]
Can attach detailed logs if required.

It seems to be any gnome-shell Xorg session hitting this crash on
exit... but for most people a Xorg session will only ever be used in the
live image.
