Public bug reported: ubuntu 22.10, Nautilus search not working, when opening a directory the files and folders display instantaneously as expected, as normal I start typing the name of the file/folder I am interested in. If I type in only one letter the search seems to work instantly, but if I type in the second letter of the search string the search just sits and spins. I have experimented with it and if I leave it for some time (multiples of minutes) it will eventually find what I have searched for.
I notice several complaints online for this exact problem and it seems that nobody has a solution for it. I have a couple of screen recordings to show the problem.
