Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem-gstreamer
$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 7.10 Release: 7.10 Package Version: gstreamer-0.10.14 I was trying to play this mpeg file http://www.myabike.com/videos/A-bike_movie2006.mpeg on totem-gstreamer. The sound was fine but the video was jumbled up. Note that the save screenshot option in totem displays the frame correctly though. See attached screenshot. I also tried 'gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=http://www.myabike.com/videos/A-bike_movie2006.mpeg' and got the same jumbled up video. A chance discovery however, was that if I started a second gstreamer 'instance', the 2nd instance would play fine.
