The "manpages-dev" package is installed. But there are these issues:
1) I cannot find some man pages out of section 2 via the search, e.g.
"socket" (there is only a man page for "Socket", section 3, from the
Perl documentation"), "write", etc. I can find others such as
"syscalls", "bind", etc. It'

Could you please check whether the system calls manpages are installed on your
system ?
It seems to me they are not by default. Section 2 manpages can be installed
with the "manpages-dev" package.
You can check this by typing "man 2 sysca
