Public bug reported:

Opening a file by bragging it on the Location text widget in the Gtk file
chooser results in an error, i.e. the application cannot find the file.
It looks like that, when using Drag and Drop, the file name gets converted to a
file:// URL, and that the file chooser is not able to understand URLs entered
in the Location text widget.

On Hardy, I can easily and reliably reproduce this issue Hardy with
almost any Gtk application (Firefox and OpenOffice, too):

* Start eog, evince, or gedit
* Choose File -> Open (Ctrl-O)
* From nautilus, drag any file on the Location text widget
* Get some error. With gedit or eog, the error message includes the file name.
For example: "No images found in
'/home/danilo/file:/home/danilo/Examples/kubuntu-leaflet.png'."

Using libgtk2.0-0 version 2.12.9-3ubuntu2 with it_IT.UTF-8 locale.
A video showing the issue is attached.
