Not only gedit has this problem, the same thing happens with Bluefish editor
and OpenOffice...
Probably is a bug in Ubuntu, not only Gedit...
I will enable apport and make the test again.

I am having this error also.
The thing is that when i open a document (that already existed) and I try to
save the existing file this error does not happen!
Anyway,... I tried to check if there was something in my crash directory and
unfortunately i didnt find anything!
