Hi, I can also confirm that this is a working solution. Copying files to a NetWare server now works fine! Unforunately however, after installing the Really the update DEB, synaptic reports it as Broken and I cannot install or remove any other packages. I installed the DEB using sudo dpkg -i libglib2.0-0_2.16.3-1ubuntu1_i386.deb. Whoops, I missed something. It's not the libglib2.0-0 package that is being reported as broken, but the libglib2.0-0-dev package. I suppose its depencies will have to be adjusted. I suppose this will be the case when the update(s) come through the repositories? In the meanwhile, I removed the libglib2.0-0-dev package and all is working fine. Except that inside of Nautilus, we explicitly check for space before doing the move (see nautilus-file-operations.c:verify_destination()) by querying the file system, so that we're sure we have space to complete the move and we don't have to abort midway through. Fundamentally, the filesystem is fubar if it can't tell us whether or not it has free space. We do not check for the required space if G_FILE_ATTRIBUTE_FILESYSTEM_FREE is not present. I made a fresh hardy install and have the same problem. The ncpfs package is not in faulty (it mounts the netware share and make it accessible). I've found a partial answer on Novell's site. They had the same problem with their OpenSuse and novfs: The main issue is the fact that if you run 'df', you'll see something like this: Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/sda5 73398648 9539964 63858684 13% / udev 4155696 120 4155576 1% /dev /dev/sda1 101086 11377 84490 12% /boot /dev/sda6 10490040533824 9956216 6% /var 10.0.5.13:/home 60815552 17467808 43347744 29% /home novfs0 0 0 100% /var/opt/novell/nclmnt The reason why the nautilus plugin dies is because get_free_space() shows what df shows: 0 -- however, it is writable because there is free space, which is why Konqueror works, as well as the command line. So I'll venture to bet that its novfs and has that nautilus is fine. We can estimate too that, nautilus is fine and bet the bug has to do with ncpfs!
