Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-netstatus-applet

I have two NIC on my Thinkpad T60. The info of "$lspci " as following:
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82573L Gigabit Ethernet
Controller
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC
(rev 01)

#uname -a
Linux miles 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

When I connected the network by 82573L, the network monitor applet reported two
drivers (eth0 and lo ) and worked well.
After I switch the connection to wireless network, the network monitor applet
reported three drivers (eth0 ,ath0 and lo) and displayed the eth0 disconnected
status. It doesn't auto-select the ath0 interface.

If you select the ath0 manually, the the network monitor applet works
well again.

** Affects: gnome-netstatus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
