Close it, by all means, but the problem still exists it still exists . The
~/.gvfs directory is empty.
The command:
find sudo find / -name '.*something.*'
still denies access for root to the ~/.gvfs directory.
The permissions on the directory are set to user:user
Have your tried it? Others
I can't think what further information there is to provide!

thank you for your bug report, what directories do you have in .gvfs?
what user do you use to run the find command? could you describe how to
trigger the issue and maybe open the bug on bugzilla.gnome.org directly
since you say that's not an ubuntu issue
