What about watching a flash video in Firefox? I've often noticed that the screensaver starts while the video is on. Should we file a bug for Firefox or for Flash? OK, sorry, I misunderstood the purpose of the applet. I still think thought that it would be nice to have a simple way to inhibit not just suspend, but also the screensaver. I know people who use PowerPoint in a Virtual machine for presentations. Applications should tell GNOME Screensaver if they're doing something that shouldn't have screensaver running like giving a presentation or viewing a movie. This isn't something that should be done by a user, it should just work. For me inhibit applet does not work at all. It does not prevent screen from blanking and locking.
