[Bug 273019] Re: Root session, Trash folder give error The folder contest could not be displayed

2009-07-18 Thread Alexey Balmashnov
The problem still there. Users continue to ask how should they run
nautilus with superuser privileges so that everything works. Workaround
mentioned in bug #238668 with sudo dbus-launch nautilus makes nautilus
to work with root trash in the same way as for normal accounts. Is
this the way? Is this the only way?

The problems are:
- I can't go to root Trash with bookmark in root nautilus.
- I can't empty the root Trash in nautilus.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been
reported, but feel free to report any other bugs you find.

you should not run graphical tools using sudo, in this case there is
dbus session corresponding to the user, you can use dbus-launch to
workaround the issue though

2008-09-22 Thread Marcos Alvarez Costales
Hi!
Thanks by the reply.
But if I like Nautilus in root session, how can I do??
I saw the bugs and I didn't found it. I think this is a High or critical bug
for the Intrepid Release :O
Thanks!
