[Bug 273019] Re: Root session, Trash folder give error The folder contest could not be displayed
The problem still there. Users continue to ask how should they run nautilus with superuser privileges so that everything works. Workaround mentioned in bug #238668 with sudo dbus-launch nautilus makes nautilus to work with root trash in the same way as for normal accounts. Is this the way? Is this the only way? -- Root session, Trash folder give error The folder contest could not be displayed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273019 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 273019] Re: Root session, Trash folder give error The folder contest could not be displayed
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported, but feel free to report any other bugs you find. you should not run graphical tools using sudo, in this case there is dbus session corresponding to the user, you can use dbus-launch to workaround the issue though ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: nautilus = gvfs Importance: Undecided = Low Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) Status: New = Invalid ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New ** Changed in: gvfs (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- Root session, Trash folder give error The folder contest could not be displayed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273019 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
