Please follow these steps and report what happens: 1) remove the virtual resolution from your xorg.conf 2) log out, unplug the external monitor and press CTRL+ALT+Backspace 3) log in, then plug in the external monitor and try to set up the external screen again. If step 3 doesn't work, please att
