I just ran into the same problem after adding a displaylink device (EVGA UV+). Previous configuration: 9.04 Ati card with 2 monitors running an extended desktop. Moving a window to the right monitor did not make it disappear from the taskbar on the left monitor. setup: xrandr --output CRT1

I noticed that this kept happening when I was moving my laptop back and forth between work and home. At home, i don't use extented desktop, but I do at work. I guess when I boot the machine at home it saves some settings, and when I return to work and connect my extended monitor, the applications
