Ooops, i got Drawer wrong - it stores applets rather than files and shortcuts. In Windows i tend to dump everything from my destop into a sub-folder in 'My Documents' and place a short-cut to that sub-folder on my desktop. I dunno what the difference between hard-links and soft- links is, perhaps
