my locale:
locale
LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8
LC_NUMERIC=fr_FR.UTF-8
I just tried it as this sounds rather important, but couldn't reproduce
it.
My setup was vino 2.24.1 running on localhost with holalá as password,
and connecting with vinagre 2.24.2.
Can you give us very specific steps to reproduce the issue?
