It doesn't freeze for me. Do you have a non-local GTK bookmark? Could you get a
backtrace when it hangs?
- gdb xchat-gnome
(gdb) run
when it hangs press Ctrl-C
(gdb) thread apply all bt
and copy that to a comment

Ok, here is something - when I launch connections with two networks
while launching Xchat-gnome, it freezes for a while until you have
connected to both networks. Then Preferences window appears and
everything is all

Thanks for your bug. Does it happen with some other app too? Do you get
the dialog if you wait for like 10 secondes after that?
