Closing bug, as ogra's comment implies that the font isn't used by
Edubuntu anymore, and issues with Comic characters don't affect the font
in Tamil language

Isn't the font unsuitable for the purpose it is being used for ? This
font is designed to be used for Tamil language. I will contact the
upstream developers, but I don't think they will be interested in fixing
issues with umlaut.

Umm... Can you please inform me which font in ttf-indic-fonts package is
providing the buggy Comic font ? I'll try to look into the font, and maybe with
the upstream developer if required.

moving bug to font source package (that's what been told to me anyway)
this is all about funny font containing bad umlauts, imo has nothing to do with
nautilus then
two ways to fix this: 1) find fixed/modify font 2) use another font
I'd go with 2) ;)

the problem with 2) is that we dont have any other comic font which was agreed
on long ago by the community that we want one as desktop font ... fixing the
ttf doesnt work either since the license included in the ttf doesnt permit
changing the file, i'd happily change to another comic based
