I just noticed that I suffer from the very same issue. Sometimes, but
not always, the clock applet's appointments from Evolution are one hour
off. So, if anyone from the Desktop team wants to debug that with me,
I'm available. :)

clock applet incorrectly grabs data from evolution calendar
I'm seeing a very similar issue with Evolution on Dapper, except that my
clock applet is showing the correct times for appointments, and the
Evolution calendar isn't.
Versions:

That's basically the same problem I've been experiencing -- unfrotunately,
I'm changing companies so I can no plonger provide any meeting

Sorry for the slow response:
I think the invitations are being sent wrong for some reason. I saw an
invitation for the same meeting fromt he same person (different date) that
showed up correctly, and one that did not. But it still fails to explain
why the clock applet shows it correct and
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gconftool-2 -g

The calendar entries that had previously been displayed incorrectly are now
displaying correctly.
I've made upgrades as follows:

Sorry -- just ran across one that does not appear to be displaying
correctly.
The timezone in evolution calendar (when opening the event and clicking the
making sure the view-timezone menu option is checked) says the event is
scheduled at 1400 GMT-0700.
The clock applet shows the event starting
Reopening, thank for the detail. Could you get a non-private example of

I also experience this (or similar) bug. When opening a calendar event sent by
email, The time displays correctly -- I click accept and it adds to my local
calendar. When I look at my local calendar, event times are one hour into the
future. When I look at the clock-applet, event times are
I see this bug too (in Dapper). My /etc/timezone was Europe/London and my time
zone in Evolution was UTC, thus probably explaining the disconnect.
However, shouldn't Evolution pick up the system timezone rather than having to
set it explicitly?

Another thought - this probably only started with the the change in clocks a
couple weeks ago. So if Evoluton interpreted Europe/London as UTC, then it
used to be right but is now wrong.

my /etc/timezone and evolution timezone's match. i'm not sure what happened,
but one day i opened up evolution, and tried to modifty an appointment, and
then it crashed. when i restarted evolution, the times had shifted to match the
(incorrect) panel applet's times. so i changed them in
