additionally you can try if the camera is supported by 'cheese', if it
doesn't work there, it's not a bug in ekiga.

The webcam
Thanks for your report alhellou, but we need more information to figure
out what the problem is. What is the name and model of your webcam, and
did it work in a previous release?
You may also want to try booting from the Jaunty live CD and seeing if
it works on Ekiga there which is a newer
