Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Binary package hint: gnome-control-center Using Ubuntu Jaunty, specifying a referred web browser via the GNOME Preferred Applications control applet doesn't update the /etc/alternatives/x-www-browser symlink. As a result certain operations within the GUI result in the incorrect browser being used. If Preferred Applications is the visible and and most accessible mechanism for setting browser references on Ubuntu desktops, then it would be logical to integrate it with the Debian /etc/alternatives mechanism. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Preferred Applications should update /etc/alternatives https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391854 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
