Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut
should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install ,
that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't
be addressed as part of the project.
For further info about papercuts criteria ,
I can confirm this on an up-to-date version of Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx.
Many thanks to the reporter for his extensive description of the bug. I'm
reporting this bug upstream.

any activity in it recently. I tried all the use cases you describe in
Karmic and the search facility seems to always work as expected so I was
