In case there was any confusion, instead of going up to preferences, I
am using the right click menu to get to appearance. The preferences
entry is the one I almost never think to use.

Hey, I'm a bit confused... this bug and another (#152561 ) have both
been marked as invalid, and the reason given is that it has already
been reported. So where is the original bug? Why aren't they being
merged together? Is this something that was deemed a non-issue in 2007
(or earlier) and now
Changing the status of this bug report in the Hundred Paper Cuts bug
report to comply with the status in the Ubuntu project.
