Public bug reported:

This bug occurs randomly but often when browsing files and directories
in List View.

Double-clicking a directory opens other directory than which was clicked
(opening here means
showing its subdirectories in list view, not changing to that directory). It
seems that usually
the directory that opens is in top of the list while selecting something from
bottom of the list,
never the directory below the one that was clicked.

This happens on 2 Jaunty PC's. Both are not state of the art (1.8Ghz pc and
1.4Ghz laptop) and
i believe more often when browsing remote shares.

The bug is probably a duplicate as it happens so often and is a bit
difficult to describe sorry for that.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
