Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
Some may object to the username being automatically entered/displayed at login in Karmic. Without getting into possible "security issues", this is not how it was done previously and I think that if this will be the default and final way this appears, then there should be an option to "toggle" this in "Administration > Login Window". IMHO either "autologin" with both "remembered", or manual login with none; this is just "semiautologin" I guess?
