I believe I've fixed this in gparted 0.2.5-1.1ubuntu1 in edgy by
correcting the menu index calculations in various places.

Unmount and Deactivate not disabled properly
I suspect that the installer-mode patch has broken this by not taking
account of different menu indices in the code that disables the Unmount
and Deactivate options depending on the filesystem type.
