Okay I've figured it out. If you remove the PPA for Openshot from the Software Sources, and then uninstall every package listed under ffmpeg in Synaptic Package Manager and also uninstall Openshot, then reinstall the packages listed under ffmpeg, then Totem will work again. Just uninstalling
