Quick fix: 1. go to system - settings - prefferred programs 2. chose custom in mail program list 3. you will see : /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird %s 4. change it to /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird %s 5. close that's all.. -- send to email doesnt open new mail

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I tried to reproduce this bug. I saw that this bug is reproduced only when I select Mozilla Thunderbird entry in Preferred Applications. Can you select Thunderbird and check if everything works as expected? If
