Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake Evolution 2.6.1 I have the same problem. The strange thing is, I have Apply filters to new messages in INBOX on this server checked, but still the filters don't apply. However a few E-Mails I applyed the filters on in the first days after the install did move to the specified folders. I did try turning the checkbox off, restarting Evolution, turning it on again, and again restarting Evolution. Oh WOOPS, I just found a strange thing which caused the bug I was describing. When adding a filter the Find items dropdown has the option If all criteria are met selected by default, whereas with the first filter I made it had If any criteria are met. So I assumed that every other filter I added would have the If any criteria are met option selected by default, as was the case with the first filter. Are you sure you enabled the appropriate option in the account's settings? Ah, i didn't realize that. When I enabled it, it didn't work at first, but then after I restarted the program, it worked. I'm tempted to argue that message filters should be on by default for mailboxes besides On This Computer. These days, what proportion of Evolution's target userbase is recieving mail in /var/spool/mail, as opposed to via POP/IMAP/Exchange? I guess there's messages from cron and such... But I digress...
