My screen size is 1024x600 (using Ubuntu Netbook Edition) and I can not
see (and click on) the bottom of the dialog, and in particular the
buttons.

I wonder if netbooks with 1024x600 are generally a supported platform
for gimp. On the other hand, I don't see an alternative, slimmed-down
graphics manipulation program.
