Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 $ apt-cache policy gdm gdm: Installed: 2.28.1-0ubuntu2.1 Candidate: 2.28.1-0ubuntu2.1 Version table: *** 2.28.1-0ubuntu2.1 0 500 http://gulf karmic-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gulf karmic/main Packages If I configure autologin in gdm, it works for the initial login in a gdm session. Upon choosing logout from the Session menu, it does not auto login again. If the gdm service is restarted, autologin will work again as expected for the initial session, but logout fails again. The expected behaviour is that upon logging out, the gdm will honour the autologin and timedlogin options configured in /etc/gdm/custom.conf # cat /etc/gdm/custom.conf [daemon] AutomaticLoginEnable=true AutomaticLogin=ubuntu TimedLoginEnable=true TimedLogin=ubuntu TimedLoginDelay=1 ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 9.10 autologin gdm karmic timedlogin -- gdm doesn't re-login after logout when autologin and timedlogin are enabled Karmic 9.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/499337 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
