Found the bug (for me) : I've disabled the evolution rss plugin and now
the inline images are sent along with the message.
Version of evolution RSS : 0.1.4
the failure is already fixed through a patch that, obviously, is not

I have the same trouble and here is the analisis from my part :
- evolution debug log does not reveal any malfunction
- evolution does not even insert the image in the sent e-mail but does when the
e-mail is saved
- in the received mail I can see that he doesn't even try to process the image

to that upstream discussion? We don't use a lot of patches for that
