I'm experiencing this, too. Can we change the bug title to Optical
Drives not detected in HAL or something more appropriate?

From my hald log:
19:43:08.487 [I] hotplug.c:208: /sys/block/sr0 is a block device (devpath)
19:43:08.487 [I] blockdev.c:589: block_add: sysfs_path=/sys/block/sr0
dev=/dev/scd0 is_part=1, parent=0x
19:43:08.487 [I] blockdev.c:499: get_luks_uuid: device_file=/dev/scd0
19:43:08.488 [I]
This is another problem. I don't experience these effects. Just the lack
of writing support.

Probably... But nothing to do with the transition though, as my drive is
(and always has been) scd0.

The problem that I saw is the the nautilus-cdburning process jast hangs when I
click 'burn'.
Also, when dragging files to the nautilus-cdburning files, they don't always
get copied over.

In my case, a empty cd icon is placed on the desktop but the nautilus cd
burning hangs and won't use it. Gnomebaker can still use it.
Is this the same behavior or another problem?
