You have been subscribed to a public bug:

This bug is in gnome-theme-manager but malone does not allow that
package to be used.

Steps to produce bug:

1) Download a new theme (metacity, gtk, or icons) to desktop.
2) Open gnome-theme-manager (System -> Preferences -> Themes)
3) Drag and drop new theme onto the gnome-theme-manager-window.
4) When asked whether or apply new theme or keep current theme, choose 'keep 
current'

CPU then jumps to 100%.  Here is the gdb backtrace:

Note: this bug also occurs when installing the them from the same
application but using the "Install theme" button and browsing to the
location of the theme file instead of dragging and dropping onto the
application window.
