If you right click on one of the songs from one of the artists that are
sorted incorrectly, and then choose properties. In the properties
dialog, choose the sorting tab. The artist sort order field here
appears to determine how the songs appear in the artists list. This
could be various (which
I found a quick solution to correcting all my tags quickly - I used a
tag editor called Ex Falso and deleted all of the artistsort tags.
Everything is now sorted correctly.

Just tried the sorting tab method. Each song I corrected jumped to the
correct place for about 5 seconds then reset to the wrong place with
Unknown as the artist and blank album in the sorting tab.
