closing that bug, it's not useful at the moment. Feel free to reopen if you can get a debug backtrace for it (you might want to un-activate /apps/bug-buddy/run_on_crash from gconf-editor so apport will catch the crash instead of bug-buddy) ** Changed in: gnome-utils (Ubuntu) Status: Needs

This bug is a tough one. I haven't been able to reproduce it. Also, how is a tester going to be ready to capture a backtrace when a rare bug such as this one appears? There should be a 'hotlist' of packages for which testers should always have debugging symbols installed. On 10/14/06, Petr

dmcclung, you are right. This is why Edgy has the automatic crash detection feature :-) Still, for this to be resolved, we need a backtrace. -- gnome-panel-screenshot crash https://launchpad.net/bugs/61879 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com

Could you describe what you do to get the crash? You just run the screenshoter? By the keyboard shortcut or the menu or command line? Window or full screen mode? Does it depend of the window opened on screen? -- gnome-panel-screenshot crash https://launchpad.net/bugs/61879 -- desktop-bugs
