Thanks for your bug. What version of libglib2.0-0 do you have? Could you
run ldd /usr/lib/python-support/python-
gobject/python2.4/gtk-2.0/gobject/_gobject.so and copy that to a
comment?

FIXED:
new package just reached uk repository,
on upgrade libglib2.0-0 (2.12.3-1ubuntu1) to 2.12.4-0ubuntu1
