This is not a bug. This is how the smb URIs work according to spec.. That
looks like NOTABUG. Do you have some issues if you use the correct form for it?

Actually browsing never works unless you refresh with f5... maybe
that's not related to the uri itself, but indeed something must be
broken...

icons are white as if they weren't recognized by the system, double
clicking them leads to the not a directory error. after f5 the icon is
correct and selecting let you finally browse. anyway this is weird...

I have to correct myself; this bug seems more random than I thought; the
fix sometimes work sometimes does not; hitting refresh may work as well

I've found a very easy fix! URI must be smb:// instead of smb:/// ; this
way you will be able to browse as usual; this looks like something very
easy to fix, please do it!

I am also having this issue. If I keep refreshing nautilus, it usually
detects them properly but only 1 out of every 5 times.
