Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-keyring

Hi there,

First off:

t...@proton:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu maverick (development branch)
Release: 10.10
t...@proton:~$ apt-cache policy gnome-keyring
gnome-keyring:
  Installed: 2.92.92.is.2.31.91-0ubuntu4
  Candidate: 2.92.92.is.2.31.91-0ubuntu4
  Version table:
 *** 2.92.92.is.2.31.91-0ubuntu4 0
        500 http://apt-proxy/ubuntu/ maverick/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
t...@proton:~$

I'm using the RC of Maverick, I just upgraded my old Lucid installation.
Running into a problem where disabling ssh support in seahorse still
exports (and therefore overrides) SSH_AUTH_SOCK.

I executed gconftool-2 --set -t bool /apps/gnome-keyring/daemon-
components/ssh false and checked with gconftool-2 --get /apps/gnome-
keyring/daemon-components/ssh if it was indeed set to false. Then I
rebooted and logged in again. Opened a console and did env | grep SSH.
This still displayed SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/tmp/keyring-Aju8Gs/ssh and not the
expected gpg-agent socket. I've modified the /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90gpg-
agent script to include --enable-ssh-support and when I run it, it does
export the correct variables. It's just that starting Gnome overrides
it.

Let me know if you need any more info.
