Having the same problem here; cannot run my desktop anymore because gnome-panel
keeps crashing, but don't know why. ( this is under Edgy ) There is a post in
the forums about this, and the person came up with the following solution; he
created another user and copied his stuff from his home
here is my backtrace with all the debugging symbols.

Thanks for your bug. That looks like a GTK issue, could you get a
backtrace with libgtk2.0-0-dbg libglib2.0-0-dbg installed?
