Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Purchased a new audio CD (Tiƫsto - Kaleidoscope) and went to import it to my media library using rhythmbox. In the CD Audio device tab/window, Rhythmbox displayed a message advising me that it couldn't find the album on Musicbrainz, but appeared to have most of the info available via Freedb. I filled in the missing info (Genre, Year), right clicked on the disc in the left hand column and selected "Extract to library" (I also submitted the disc to Musicbrainz). After rhythmbox had finished importing, I found that the tracks themselves did not include the artist name, track number or year even though I had filled these in and rhythmbox had displayed them on the CD Audio device pane/window/tab. The encoding type I selected for extraction to the library in preferences was originally "CD Audio quality (lossless AAC .m4a).. (Incidentally, now I've gone back to check that setting, the preference for AAC has automagically vanished?)
