I changed the motherboard while I was using Edgy to an old onBoard Intel graphics adapter. The driver is the i810. Since I'm using this adapter, it's exactly the same to me as shown in the screenshot above. Today I installed a fresh Feisty and it's still the same. The Human theme worked fine for me on Dapper, but after a fresh install of Edgy, the progress bars just don't show. (My problems match that of the screenshot posted above.) I'm wondering if there is some way to install the Dapper version of the Human theme. This is definitely an issue during install with that progressmeter. See also LP 67443 which looks to be a duplicate report. Okay, I have a few more symptoms here... If I change to another theme (eg: Clearlooks) the progress bar displays fine.
