YAY!!! I FINALLY got a trace! sigh... it took it a while to do so, but
Attached is the GDB output from finally getting Evolution to crash while
doing some sort of debugging.
** Attachment added: gdb log with backtrace info from Evolution crash.
I had the same problem. My solution :
I have disabled System - Preferences - Assistive technologies - Enable
assistive technologies..

instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and upload
the backtrace (as an attachment) to the bug report. This will greatly
