moma: yes, most likely.
Bosma: you can not choose both auto-login and encrypt your home during install.
Only thing needed is that Login screen settings removes the option to
turn it on and maybe a notice that home is encryped.

Could be connected, having the exact same problems with encrypted home-
partition. If it is supposed to work like this it should be mentioned
during setup and in the login options. I'll see if I can unencrypt my
home folder, it doesn't seem that illogical to me, just very very poorly
implemented.
