Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

My desktop currently is configured with the following keyboard maps
(according to gconf names):

[fi classic,se rus]

In the keyboard map applet that appears in application-indicator, the
first one is correctly identified as Fin.

However, the second one is incorrectly identified as Swe, even though
this is a Russian keyboard map variant (with the usual Cyrillic
letters). The se prefix in the gconf key refers to the fact that
punctuation marks are designed to match the locations on a Swedish
keyboard map, to ease a phonetic transition between a normal Swedish map
using Latin letters with Scandinavian vowels and a Russian phonetic map
using Cyrillic letters. This is mainly usefull for Russian speakers
living in Finland or Sweden, who constantly need to switch between two
alphabets. It therefore should be identified as Rus in the 3-letter
identifier that appears besides the applet's icon in the notification
area or in indicator-application.
