Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Ubuntu 10.10, gnome-control-center 1:2.32.0-0ubuntu2 When I click Install Font in gnome-font-viewer, the button changes to Install Failed. If I run gnome-font-viewer with gksudo, the font installs successfully. I expect gnome-font-viewer to know that installing fonts requires root, since that's the case in a fresh Ubuntu installation, and to use gksudo accordingly. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/751260 Title: needs to gksudo before installing font -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
