hmmm. kind of jerky problem. Reinstalled the system and unfortunately
wanted to show a friend how printing in linux is easy. Plugged-in the
printer and printed the test-page and some text. BUT when printing a
photo, it didn't work. pitty and shame.
replacing the propeller file worked, now no
I'm having the same problem with a HP Laserjet P4015dn. May be related
to the printer's drivers?

I found out that if I change the printer driver the problem dissapears.
I was using an hpcups driver and I changed it by an hpijs driver.

I think that I have the same or at least a related problem: When
printing djvu files to my Samsung ML-2010R using the SPLIX driver, I
repeatedly got session timeouts and and a very high CPU utilization due
to pdftoraster-poppler. Replacing /usr/lib/cups/filter/pdftoraster-
poppler by a symlink to
