Same problem here. I tried going from avi/Xvid to NTSC at 16:9 aspect ratio, also tried the same thing already converted to mpeg/NTSC at the same aspect ratio. Freezes at about 95 of 3240 MB for me. I have the same problem: brasero freezes with converting video file to mpeg2 (Ubuntu 12.04, 32 bit). Is somebody working on the bug? I'm facing the same issue. The point where the conversion of the MPEG-4 video stops is not always the same. Tried also on another machine with Ubuntu 10.04 and Brasero 2.30.2. Yes, I'm getting the exact same thing. Mine hangs at 24mb every single time. With both .mkv and .mpg2. I am trying to convert it to NTSC, 16:9 and have tried almost every other NTSC combination with no success.
