Thank you for your bug report and taking the time to make Ubuntu better. The
document seems to render fine here. Do you have the poppler-data package
installed? If not, does installing it makes the rendering problems disappear?
If you still have a wrong rendering, could you make a screenshot of

idea to set up evince to request installation of that package when it's
needed (as per totem requesting codec installation)
