Public bug reported: unwanted extra "Untitled Document 1" created whenever a file is opened in gedit
There is no problem opening the file I wanted to edit, but every time I open "another file in the same session" I get another "untitled document" (IE it happens for "every file" edited, not just "on opening" gedit. It's not crashing or anything... just thought you should know :^) I'm on a brand new install of xubuntu 11 on a new i5 / intel GPU system. gedit was installed "by default" I think.... if not I would have installed it using synaptic from the default repositories (I have no idea where else to get it :^) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: gedit 3.2.1-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-13.22-generic-pae 3.0.6 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-13-generic-pae i686 ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Dec 6 11:44:36 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gedit InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release i386 (20111012) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_AU:en PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_AU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gedit UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug apport-lpi i386 oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/900547 Title: unwanted extra "Untitled Document 1" created whenever a file is opened in gedit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/900547/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
