Similar problem using an up-to-date Feisty, I will try to describe it exactly:
1) I plug in my camera. 2) a "Photo import" dialog pops up, I click "Ignore". 3) I browse my pics under "/media/NO NAME/" with nautilus. 4) I close nautilus. 5) I right-click on the "NO NAME" icon on the desktop and choose "Unmount volume". 6) an error dialog pops up, with title "Cannot unmount volume", message "Cannot unmount the volume 'NO NAME'", and details "Cannot remove directory". 7) At this point "ls /media" shows that there is already no such directory left, though. 8) I click ok, and I can continue as usual, no bad consequences.
